![]() PowerSol is pleased to announce the latest version of their PMx Scheduling software for use with Maximo and MXES. The product now offers the possibility of integrated Scheduling including links to MS Project, Risk Assessment and Query Reporting facilities all in one unique package. The software is primarily designed for use with Maximo 4.1.1 and MXES but could be adapted for use with other CMMS applications. PowerMax Scheduler is a software product created and supplied under licence by PowerSol that provides a facility for extracting, scheduling and printing work orders held in a MaximoŽ or MXES database. Although the product has been designed primarily to work in conjunction with MaximoŽ and MXES, it could be adapted to work with other applications. The application allows the user to, very simply, assemble one or a series of work schedules for individual dates, events and/or working groups with each schedule able to contain an unlimited number of work orders. The work order selection facility allows the user to view the Maximo work-bank and locate required work orders using a number of selection criteria. Once added to a schedule, work orders can then be allocated to staff or contractors either individually or as a pack. Additional features of the PowerMax product are the ability to modify schedules by adding or removing work orders plus the ability to print hard copy versions of the schedule with or without their accompanying work orders. PowerMax Scheduler works on the assumption that work often spans more than one working day or shift. It also assumes that work orders may need to be allocated to more than one date at a time. To accomplish both conditions, PowerMax Scheduler provides a shell into which work orders can be slotted. Each work order can exist on several schedules at any one time, plus there is a facility for work orders to be "rolled over" from one day or shift to the next. This simple facility removes the time consuming practice of updating the dates on each individual work order. The latest version of PowerMax Scheduler enables work orders to be, extracted from the host database, assembled in batches, sorted and then uploaded directly into Microsoft Project. The Risk Assessor facility inside PowerMax Scheduler is an occupational risk assessment software application that provides the user with a way of recording and evaluating risk that could be experienced by staff or members of the public while carrying out work for an organisation. Copies of Risk Assessments can be linked to individual work orders either manually or automatically by virtue of their Location, Asset or Job Plan references. Analysis of the MaximoŽ database tables and the creation of reports is made possible by the provision of a Query Tool within the main application.
